The Team

Laura Martison (New Product Development)

I have been working at R&R for nearly two years now, I started straight out of university at the end of August 2008.  My day to day job is very varied, ranging from hands on work in the kitchen preparing samples to costing out products and speaking with suppliers. I also spend some time in the factory attending trials and launches for new products, no two days are the same.  I enjoy the start of the NPD process when we blue sky ideas and come up with new and innovative products. I also like the satisfaction you get from seeing a product you've developed from the initial brief to being sold in the supermarkets.  My favourite product is the treats Zzap lolly.

Angela Taylor (National Account Manager)

I joined R&R in July 2007 as a customer marketing manager working on a range of retail accounts including Sainsbury's, M&S and Somerfield. In 2009 I made the transition into the sales team to become the Sainsbury's Account Manager.  My day to day role includes the co-ordination of all elements of the Sainsbury's account including order forecasting, promotional planning, securing range listings, new own label product development and instore activation. I manage the relationships between R&R and our key Sainsbury's contacts including the Buyer, Category Assistant and Supply chain analyst. This requires regular meetings in London and lots of telephone conversations and e-mails!  The favourite part of my job is working with my buyer to agree the annual promotional plan which is always a great way to drive sales and customer trial of our products.  My favourite Ice cream is the Kelly's Honeycomb caramel.

Lucy Morrison (Marketing Assistant)

I have been working at R&R for over two years now, starting straight out of university after previously doing my work placement here.  My day to day job is very varied. I am lucky to be involved in all different aspects of marketing.  I am responsible for managing our weekly KPI's and more and more becoming involved in the brand side of marketing. Every day is different for me!  The people I work with are one of the main reasons I enjoy my job like I do. Also the variety of tasks and opportunities I am presented with from day to day.  My favourite product is Kelly's Honeycomb Caramel it is delicious.

Richard Crofton (Group Accountant)

I have worked for R&R for 2 and a half years.  My day to day job involves dealing with the bondholders, the lending banks, preparing group management accounts, cash forecasting, reporting to the investors, tax planning and risk management and dealing with legal advisors.  My favourite part of my job is the variety of work, the people and of course the free ice cream! My favourite product is Nobbly Bobbly.

Seamus Boyne (Stock Controller)

I began working for the company back in 1999 and started on the factory floor. Since then I have worked my way up to my current position. I enjoy solving the problems that come with being the Stock Controller. It seems that every week I come across different issues. It's a very varied job and I get to work with lots of people from other departments. My favourite products we make are the Thornton's Stick range. They are a good quality product but most importantly they taste fabulous.

Jared Brown (Site Engineer)

I started with Richmond in 1996 and have been part of the engineering projects team that has helped build the factory that stands today, and I am proud to be a part of the growing, successful future orientated business that we are. My job role includes a huge range of tasks from design and fabrication to problem solving. I am also part of a team that is Site and Services and we operate, maintain and upgrade the services to the factory such as refrigeration, steam supply, compressed air and water supplies etc. The best part of my job is the challenges we undertake as a team and overcoming problems swiftly to a very high standard. Of all our great products, my favourites are Fabs, Fruit Pastil lollies, Caramac bar and all of our vanilla ice creams.

Dean Ketley (Goods Inwards/Despatch Manager)

I have been with the company for nearly 15 years where I started packing on the line then ran the factory as a shift manager.  I have watched and enjoyed the changes and team innovations' seen over that time.  I see my self as a vital part of the factory supply chain manufacturing process. I oversee the efficiency of the storage of incoming and dispatch finished  goods, including controls and measurers from start to end of the process.  To achieve my aims I have to manage people/teams, process and systems, to ensure productivity targets are met and measured.  I ensure controls and stocks are managed in regards to systems and updates.  My favourite ice cream is festival mint lolly.
