N-ICE MEDIA COVERAGE FOR R&R BRANDS
Good media relations work by Finn Communications has seen great summer mentions for R&R brands in the national press.
Coverage for Skinny Cow appeared in both the Sun, where its calories and fat advantages over Magnum were highlighted, as well as in a Daily Telegraph reader promotion linked to the Graduate Fashion Awards of which the brand was a sponsor.
Coverage for the KitKat cone appeared in both Woman magazine and Take It Easy whilst She magazine highlighted the natural flavours and competitive price of the new Fab Orange lolly. The UK’s largest lolly – a 3m high, 850 kg Fab – also appeared in OK magazine.
Slimming World’s Extra Easy summer slimming plan, which allows 5-15 ‘syn’ treats per day, judged Skinny Cow lollies amongst the best as they only take up 4½ syns per stick.
Finally, good coverage appeared in the tabloids over Wimbledon fortnight following a Mivvi-sponsored survey to find the sexiest female tennis player – Anna Kournikova – and sexiest male – Andre Agassi
Senior marketing manager Charlotte Hambling said: “With the peak summer selling period now with us, positive national media coverage such as this is very valuable. We have a great stable of favourite brands to shout about in the national press and communicate their unique benefits, in particular our most recent NPD launches such as Fab Orange, Lion bar and Kit Kat cone. Editorial PR is an invaluable tool to gain credibility with consumers”
