Reporting to the Chief Engineering Manager, you will work on plant electrical improvement projects while supporting and guiding a team of Electrical Engineers to improve reliability through fault elimination and control enhancements. You will be required to coordinate and lead automation projects, ensuring that you manage change and system modifications in order to drive plant productivity. Providing additional training to engineers where required, you will be the main point of contact for all automation related matters.
Candidates for this role must be educated to degree level or equivalent in Electrical or Electronic Engineering coupled with experience of maintaining automated equipment within a high volume production environment. You must have proven Electrical/Electronic experience within an engineering environment with experience of panel fault finding and design within a continuous improvement environment.
You should also be highly experienced with automation software, controllers and drives including, Allen Bradley PLC / SLC 500, Control Logix 5000 SCADA and Motion Control. Maintenance experience within fast paced or fully automated environments will also stand you in good stead.
